Drawings

Although I have drawn nearly all my career, I have exhibited very few drawings. I went through an extended period of time around 1986, in which I worked on paper and the drawings were rather complex interior studies utilizing graphite, pastel, paint and oil crayon. There were several series not included here which were elaborate in technique. At present, I use drawing for compositional study and for preliminary studies for major figure painting. I have also included a number of purely pastel works in this section of the website.
